HOW THESE PHOTOGRAPHS ARE PRINTED

In 1984, I made the prints to give Jean Michel in a traditional darkroom. From my professional experience, digital is better.

I can adjust the scans for maximum sharpness, detail and tonal range. Each negative was scanned on the Hassleblad Imacon scanner at 8000 lines per inch, and at 16 bit.

The prints are made on the new Epson 900 archival pigment printer. Most printers print at 3,000 dots per inch. The 900 prints at 5,700 dots. And the Ultrachrome Pro10 pigments were measured to be fade resistant for up to 400 years by Wilhelm Imaging. Which is 200 years longer than traditional photographs. Owning one of these prints is an excellent investment, indeed.
